چکیده
Recently, many research studies have focused on labyrinth weirs' hydraulic performance, especially as dependent engineering features. In the current study, properties of flow over triangular weirs models (from upper perspective) with sharp crest been experimentally studied and compare their efficiency suppressed rectangular (conventional weirs). Twelve fiberglass are developed for this reason tested in a 6m length, 30cm width, 40cm height laboratory flume, nine were constructed three weirs, Three alternative heights (p=15, 20, 25cm) employed research, each height, vertex angle (θ) changed times (60օ, 90օ, 120օ), one these was used, seven different discharge approved. The overall tests study 84. dimensionless parameters which coefficient (Cd) is obtained using dimensional analysis. plotted. According to experimental present compared linear shown be more hydraulically efficient. Also, weir (P) has effects coefficient, where increased decreasing (P). weirs(θ) major influence raises when decreases value angle(θ), another means, gave an increase path flow, it 60o reached its greatest (2.55), followed by 90o 120o respectively. other words (a small gives length effective (Le) weir) leads capacity or performance weir.

Effect of Crest Roughness on Flow Characteristics over Circular Weirs
Different construction materials with different roughness used to make circular weirs highly affect surface roughness and, in turn, flow hydraulics passing over these structures. In the present research, numerous experiments under different hydraulic conditions were performed on a physical model to study the effects of roughness on flow hydraulics over a circular weir. The flow hydraulics incl...
متن کاملExperimental Study of Discharge Coefficient of Symmetric and Asymmetric Rectangular Labyrinth Weirs
The discharge coefficient of labyrinth weirs increases with increasing the crest length in a certain width range. The present research was carried out in a laboratory flume with a length of 8 m, a width of 0.6 m, and a height of 0.6 m. The discharge coefficient of two-cycle symmetric and asymmetric rectangular labyrinth weirs was experimentally measured. The dimensional analysis by the Buckingh...
متن کاملThreshold Submergence of Flow over PK Weirs
In this study an extensive experimental research is carried out to develop a better understanding of the effects of Piano Key (PK) weir geometry on weir flow threshold submergence. Experiments were conducted in a 12 m long, 0.4 m wide and 0.7 m deep rectangular glass wall flume. The main objectives were to investigate the effect of the PK weir geometries including the weir length, weir height, ...
متن کاملNumerical study of flow of labyrinth weir with triangular and curved plan form using Fluent software
Labyrinth weirs have not a straight crest in the perpendicular direction to the flow. The plan view of the weir consists of multiple and broken linear crests that cause the increase of its effective length. The advantages of this type of weirs are higher discharge capacity, easy aeration as well as low fluctuations of water surface at the weir upstream. This paper deals with the simulation of t...
متن کاملAn Experimental Investigation into the Effect of Curve Radius on the Discharge Coefficient in Curved-Linear and Curved-Labyrinth Weirs with a Triangular Plan
Nonlinear weirs are regarded as important hydraulic structures for water level adjustment and flow control in channels, rivers and dam reservoirs. One example of non-linear weirs is shaped as curved-zigzag. The crest axis of these weirs is non-linear. At a given width, the crest length is greater than that of the conventional linear weirs. Thus, they achieve a higher flow rate for an identical ...
